Friends In Deed

Background: Friends In Deed is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides assistance and resources to those who are experiencing homeless or at risk of being homeless. During this time I was the Creative Director of the Cal Poly Pomona Chapter of AIGA (The Professional Organization for Design), I participated alongside my President and other board members to create and set goals for our annual Design for Good Marathon. The marathon is a 24 hour-event where participants work around the clock to design for non-profit organizations. Results: I focused on being the team lead for motion graphics. Out of the 18 members who were chosen through an application based selection process, I worked with 3 others who were the top 40% of applicants. The final 50 assets were presented by our team where each lead spoke on behalf of their team and explained how they contributed to the development of the project. We succeeded in our goal of creating new logo marks for the Friends In Deed programs and then animating them using Adobe After Affects and Adobe Illustrator.
