Campus Coins
Financial Literacy App for University Students
Many university students struggle with financial literacy at a pivotal time in their lives. Despite being surrounded by decisions about loans, budgeting, and investing, students often lack accessible tools that make finance approachable. I wanted to create a solution that addressed this gap.

Design a mobile app Campus Coins that empowers students to learn about investing and personal finance in a way that is approachable, practical, and genuinely helpful. My goal was to simplify intimidating financial concepts and create a tool that students would actually want to use.
Research: Conducted informal interviews with peers to identify pain points around money management and investing.
Concept Development: Leveraged my 7 years of experience in banking, finance, and insurance to inform content strategy and align with real-world needs.
UX/UI Design:
Sketched wireframes and created user flows focused on simplicity and clarity.
Designed an interface with bold yet calming colors, intuitive navigation, and gamified elements that made finance exploration less intimidating.
Iterated prototypes in Figma, gathering peer feedback to refine usability.
Branding & Tone:
Created a visual language that was friendly, trustworthy, and modern—moving away from the overly corporate look of traditional finance apps.
